Hi friends!

June was the month where The Loser started thinking bigger. We spent the past few weeks digging into what it will really take to make this movie the way we believe it deserves to be made- from strengthening our creative package and refining the script to preparing for new conversations about financing, collaborators, and the road ahead.

There are still plenty of unknowns, but the vision is getting clearer. Each conversation is helping us understand not only how to make The Loser, but how to protect the strange, heartfelt spirit that made us want to make it in the first place.

💛 Help us grow the Loser Club!
Right now, growing this community is one of the most meaningful ways you can help The Loser. Every new subscriber helps us show that there’s an audience for this weird, heartfelt movie as we move toward funding and production.

BIG NEWS!

Building the Visual World of The Loser

This month, we began an exciting conversation with an accomplished cinematographer whose work helped shape one of the most beloved offbeat indie comedies of the early 2000s.

Our first conversation stretched to nearly two hours as we dug into the visual world of The Loser, the characters at its center, and the importance of keeping Daniel’s story grounded beneath all of its handmade weirdness.

We’re continuing those conversations with our producing team, and while we can’t share more just yet, let’s just say we’re feeling pretty dynamite about where things may be headed.

Introducing…The Losermobile

The Loser officially took to the streets. Nathan’s car has been transformed into The Losermobile, complete with a custom decal inviting fellow misfits to join the club.

The Loser Is Going to Comic-Con!

The team is getting ready to take The Loser to San Diego Comic-Con this July!

Caroline, Robert, Matt, and Alexys will be heading to the convention to meet fellow filmmakers, connect with potential collaborators and supporters, and introduce more people to the world of The Loser.

We’ve also been busy preparing handmade buttons, stickers, and some real-life movie props to take with us, including…

Mr. Fezziwig in Progress

Daniel’s faithful companion is starting to take physical shape.

This month, Jax shared a behind-the-scenes look at Mr. Fezziwig mid-print, giving us an exciting glimpse at the early stages of bringing this beloved character into the real world.

The Loser Club Picnic

This past weekend, The Loser team gathered at the park to share a meal and some laughs. Daniel was on hand to explain the highly official rules of Crown and Keeper (his original game). It was a small start, but every outing teaches us a little more about how we want to bring the world of The Loser beyond the screen.

Up-Coming

The next few weeks are shaping up to be a busy stretch for The Loser.

As the project continues to grow, we’re looking forward to more conversations, more creative progress, and more opportunities to bring this strange little movie closer to the screen.

Thanks for following along. We’re so glad you’re here!
