Hi friends!

We’re officially a few steps deeper into the world of The Loser, and things are starting to feel very real over here.

What started as an idea is slowly turning into something we can actually see, build, and share and we’re so excited to have you along for it. As always, we’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes moments, progress, and probably a little chaos as we go.

💛 Help us grow the Loser Club
If you know someone who would love this kind of weird, heartfelt project, feel free to share this with them: https://theloser-logbook.beehiiv.com/
Every new person here truly helps us bring The Loser to life.

Happenings

It’s been a busy (and very creative) month- here’s what we’ve been up to:

Lights, Camera… Puppets?

We dove headfirst into the 48-Hour Puppet Film Festival- writing, shooting, and editing a short film in just two days!

It was chaotic, scrappy, and honestly one of the most fun creative experiments we’ve had so far. It also gave us our first real taste of breathing life into The Loser’s whimsical world.

The official screening and winners announcement will take place May 16th–17th, so we’re eagerly awaiting to see how it all turns out 🤞

Taking big steps forward

We’ve officially advanced to the next round of interviews for the Blackmagic First Feature Film Lab- a selective program that supports filmmakers in producing their first features.

It’s an incredibly exciting step for us, and we’ll share more when we can, but for now, we’re feeling very grateful (and hopeful).

Meet Mr. Fezziwig (in progress…)

We’ve officially begun the design process for Mr. Fezziwig- Daniel’s beloved handmade companion and a small but very important part of his world.

We’re currently collaborating with an artist on early concept renderings, and we can’t wait to share what he becomes…

Up-Coming

Flower Friends Craft Night - May 27th

We’re hosting our first “Flower Friends” craft night-an immersive, hands-on experience inspired by the world of The Loser.

Think painting wooden flowers, giving them personalities, and embracing a little creative weirdness. It’s exactly the kind of playful, offbeat energy that lives at the heart of this project.

It’s also a small fundraiser to help support the early stages of The Loser.

If you’re local and want to join us, we’d love to have you there!

Thanks for being here- we can’t wait to share more as The Loser progresses 💛
